We have volunteers assisting in many areas throughout the Hospice, and value greatly the contribution they make to its day to day running. Volunteers help out in many areas such as Driving, Admin, Complementary Therapy, Day Hospice, Kitchen, Reception, The Barn Tea Room, In Patient Unit and Housekeeping. At present some of the areas in which we are short are for a flower-arranger, hairdresser, an artist to come along to our day hospice and volunteers to help serve tea and coffee in our in-patient unit. We also have 7 shops across Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire who are always looking for extra help. No previous experience needed. Our fundraising department runs various events throughtout the year; please see our events page for further details. If you could spare some time, whether it be a few hours or a whole day, to help out at any of these events, we would love to hear from you. Indeed, anyone who has a little time to spare and would like to use it to benefit a charity, can volunteer at St. Vincent's Hospice. Volunteers often enjoy their time as it gives them the chance to meet people, make new friends, become part of a team and learn new skills whilst supporting a worthwhile cause. If you would like to donate your time to volunteer with us, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator, Christine Haddock on 01505 705635 or by email at christine.haddock@svh.co.uk for any further information. |
